Asterisk Gallery offers exhibit inspired by `repitition,' `correspondence'

The art gallery in Cleveland's Tremont neighborhood is building an entire exhibition out of the notion that words mean different things to different people. Founder and curator Dana Depew asked 18 Cleveland artists to submit works inspired by the words "repetition" and "correspondence," knowing full well that both could be interpreted in various ways. Full story »

Anssi Karttunen, a Finnish cellist who embraces music of many eras, gave an expansive view of the instrument during his Cleveland debut Wednesday at the Cleveland Museum of Art's Gartner Auditorium. He began the concert with solo pieces spanning three centuries and then joined I Cellisti, an ensemble from the Cleveland Cello Society, in works for cello choir.  Full story »
