Eclectic bands and DJs cranking out tunes until 2 a.m. People climbing over walls trying to get in. A mass of smiling, sweaty partyers. Whoa, an art party isn't supposed to be this wild and raucous -- especially when it's an old-guard institution throwing it. I wasn't the only one surprised with last year's Summer Solstice Party at the Cleveland Museum of Art. Everyone I ran into couldn't believe it either. The event marked the opening of the East Wing of the museum. It was supposed to be a one-time party. Well, it wasn't. The museum will celebrate the 2010 solstice with another party Saturday. Full story »
